Dokuz Oğuz – WHAT’S THE STORY? (Synopsis)
The Turkish drama series Dokuz Oğuz / Nine Oguz (2023) focuses on the journey and sacrifices of the “Turkish World Emergency Response Team,” an elite unit of nine brave soldiers from the Turkish Armed Forces. After meticulous efforts, Colonel Tomris Toprak has established the unit to protect Turkish nomads in the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan border region and handpicked one of the most capable and courageous officers from the Turkish Armed Forces, Captain Batur Karanlık, as the team commander.
Captain Batur Karanlık (Kubilay Aka), who still works at a border station, embarks on a mission to capture a wanted terrorist he chased for months. This mission takes place before he assumes command of the Oğuz Team. Meanwhile, Colonel Tomris Toprak (Yasemin Kay Allen) is on a separate mission to make military contacts in Nakhchivan.
The clock is ticking for the newly selected soldiers to come together and start their mission, because evil forces are seeking to sabotage the formation of the Dokuz Oğuz team.
