The Turkish drama series Yüz Yıllık Mucize / One Hundred Years of Miracles (2023) follows the strange story of Ali Tahir, who was born in Thessaloniki in 1893 and became a martyr in Sakarya in 1921. Despite the universe’s laws, Ali, played by Birkan Sokullu, has never aged a day past his 30s since that day, and today 130 years, and calls himself Kemal.
The day he decided to end his 130-year journey on Earth, Ali Tahir, aka Kemal, meets Harika, portrayed by Ebru Şahin. This encounter leads to a series of events that will change the lives of both Harika and Kemal forever. As Ali Tahir, or Kemal, shares his story with Harika, viewers will witness his incredible life of one hundred years of miracles. From his experiences during World War I to his struggles as a young man, the story of Ali Tahir is one of resilience and survival.
As Harika listens to his story, she becomes more and more invested in his life, eventually becoming a part of it herself. What’s the truth about Ali Tahir’s miraculous longevity? Soon, they shall unravel that fate has its own way of uniting people and that love can overcome even the greatest obstacles.
