WHAT’S THE STORY (Synopsis and Cast) The dizi drama series Bir Zamanlar Kıbrıs which is set between 1963-1968. It will bring on screen the struggle for the existence of the Turkish Cypriots as they embarked on their journey to freedom.

• The series will focus especially on the founding President of Northern Cyprus Rauf Denktaş.

The Cast of Bir Zamanlar Kıbrıs

At the center of the Turkish drama series is the owner of the Sakız factory Kemal Dereli (played by actor Ahmet Kural) and his wife, Inci (played by actress Pelin Karahan). Together with Serkan Çayoğlu, who plays Ankaralı, a major figurehead on a secret mission, coupled with his fiancée (Gülper Özdemir).

Tayanç Ayaydın will play the Greek commander Samson and the Founding President Rauf Denktaş will be Devrim Saltoğlu.

Bir Zamanlar Kıbrıs – What’s the story? (Synopsis)

The Turkish dizi series Bir Zamanlar Kıbrıs follows the story of Dereli family, who lived happily in Cyprus until one night, when they like other Turkish families, were attacked. While family members got separated and driven out of their towns. Kemal, the patriarch of the Dereli family, becomes the leader for thousands of Turks on their migration path.

While the situation intensified in Cyprus. Ankaralı was sent undercover from Turkey to Cyprus with the purpose to change the course of events in Nicosia. The struggle to survive would later intersect the lives of the Dereli family, with that of Ankaralı, who turned into a secret hero on the island.
