Daniel Craig ended his 007 experience:

Let’s kill my character and find another Bond

Daniel Craig’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star was added two years ago, just as the latest Bond film, “No Time To Die,” was breaking box office records in the UK and Ireland before its release in the US. It’s the film where James Bond dies, to the fans’ disappointment. But in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Craig revealed that this was necessary for two reasons:

“I did it for me, but also for the franchise. It needed a reset. So let’s kill off the character and find another Bond and another story. Start (with a character) at 23, 25, or 30 years old. The other reason was for me to move on. I don’t want to come back,” explained the actor.

Interestingly, Craig had planned to leave the franchise after “Spectre” (2015). However, producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson convinced him to play in his fifth James Bond film, “No Time to Die.” which ultimately ended his adventure as Agent MI6.

Daniel Craig is not just James Bond

But Daniel Craig’s career goes beyond James Bond. The actor, born on March 2, 1968, in Chester, England, was raised in Liverpool and made his way to London, where he began his acting career at the National Youth Theatre before graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

He made his film debut in “The Power of One” in 1992 and went on to star in movies like “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” alongside Angelina Jolie (2001) and “Road to Perdition” (2002) alongside Tom Hanks.

He had leading roles in “Sylvia” (2003), “The Mother” (2003), and “Enduring Love” (2004), and in 2005, Craig played a Jewish agent in Steven Spielberg’s controversial thriller “Munich.”

Daniel Craig involved in a love triangle: In 2006, News of the World claimed the actor had an affair with co-star Sienna Miller, who later got engaged to Jude Law, while he played a villain in “I, Lucifer” before becoming Bond in Casino Royale.
