FATMA – WHAT’S THE STORY? (Synopsis)
NETFLIX’s psychological dizi series follows the gripping and emotional story of Fatma (Burcu Biricik), a cleaning lady harshly tried by fate, who becomes a serial killer after an outburst of anger when she unexpectedly murders someone.
The life of Fatma, who works as a cleaner, takes a drastic turn after her husband Zafer, recently released from prison, disappears. Fatma enters on a dangerous journey searching for Zafer, whom she met at a young age. Fatma’s drift towards chaos begins with the loss of her autistic son, Oğuz, in a traffic accident.
Fatma and her little sister, Emine, had a traumatic childhood. During her childhood, Fatma was sexually abused in a barn, a fact known by everyone, and kept silent. An event buried deep within herself.
But with the death of her child, the disappearance of her husband, the survival spirit will trigger the awakening of a new Fatma, strong as iron but fragile at first glance. Fully aware of the power and fires that burn within herself and the insignificant role she plays in society, a new Fatma emerges in the last three episodes.
