Gecenin Ucunda (2022) – Main Cast Actors and characters 

Neslihan Atagül portrays our heroine, Macide. Her life will change by meeting Kazim Işık, with whom she will fall in love. Kadir Doğulu portrays Kazim Işık, a married and successful businessman who falls in love with Macide.

Sarp Levendoglu plays Ahmet Isik, the brother of Kazim, who is on on medication. He will also madly fall in love with Macide. Zuhal Olcay plays Berrin Isik Kanbey, the mother of Kazim, Ahmet and Bertan. Bertan Asllani portrays Cihangir Isik, the younger brother of Kazim and Ahmet. Tuba Ünsal plays Nermin Isic, the wife of Kazim, who has health issues.

The novel Gecenin Ucunda written by Peride Celal was published in 1963, under the name “Light at the End of the Night.” Later the title was shortened to its current version (At The End of The Night). Peride Celal said about the novel:

“The novel came out in 1963. I think I did well by shortening its name. At the time this novel was written, we were young, we had faith, and we thought we could reach the light. Light meant freedom, civilization, and humanity; it was a hope. For more than forty years, we searched for the light.   And, Today, the high-class bourgeoisie, fake religious people, and politicians who care about nothing but their own interests, prey more easily on the young people they have led to bright lives. The heroine of the novel, Macide, is successful in her effort to turn her back on love and create a new life for herself and her child and attain a humane world. Will it be possible? I doubt it. At The End of the Night, it’s also a great romance novel. I should add that too. I also like that it is. In my opinion, this is the best romance novel I’ve ever written.”
