In Kraliçe / Queen, a Turkish drama series set to premiere in 2023, the life of Deniz (played by Burcu Özberk) is turned upside down when a video surface that shakes the foundations of her marriage to Ateş Akça (played by Gökhan Alkan), the captain of a basketball team. The NBA player is accused of being involved in a rape scandal, causing a major crisis for the couple.

Kraliçe / The Queen – WHAT’S THE STORY? (Synopsis)
The upcoming Turkish drama series Kraliçe / The Queen revolves around the life of Deniz (played by Burcu Özberk) and her husband, Ateş Akça (played by Gökhan Alkan), an NBA player who is devoted to his family. However, their happy family life is threatened when a rape scandal involving Ateş and his basketball team teammates comes to light.
The scandal was triggered by İpek, an escort who claimed that she had been raped by several basketball players, including Ateş. Deniz’s life turns upside down as she struggles to accept the accusations against her husband and the impact it will have on their family, including their daughter Rüya. Will Deniz be able to stand by her husband and fight to clear his name, or will she choose to protect herself and her family by ending the marriage?
Deniz has two siblings, Zeynep (Selin Şekerci) and Ali (Özgün Karaman), who unexpectedly inherit a farm in equal shares from their father after his death.
