Ms Marvel – WHAT’S THE STORY?
Ms. Marvel (2022) depicts the adventures of a 16 years old Muslim American teenager raised in New Jersey, a fangirl of the Avengers and passionate to the point of the idolatry of Captain Marvel. However, Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes not even at home until she gains superpowers, just like the heroes she always admired. Life gets better with superpowers, doesn’t it?
Kamala acquires spectacular powers, including the ability to harness cosmic energy and change her shape. It happens, miraculously, through braces that don’t look like ordinary braces at all. In addition to learning to control her powers, young Kamala has to face, in parallel, aspects of her life as a teenager, first love, friendships, high school life, and also the relationship she has with her parents. Nobody said is easy to face teenage life with superpowers, but for sure will be fun.

Bruno is a smart guy and the right hand of Kamala. Yasmeen Fletcher portrays Nakia Bahadir, a close friend of Kamala, both attending the same school. Zenobia Shroff plays Muneeba Khan, the mother of Kamala. An emigrant from Pakistan, Muneeba disapproves of her daughter’s obsession with superheroes. Mohan Kapoor portrays Yusef Khan, the father of Kamala. Yusef is a traditional guy. He loves his children and wants them to keep the faith. Saagar Shaikh portrays Aamir Khan, the elder brother of Kamala. Rish Shah plays Kamran, a high school college who has a crush on Kamala. Zoe Zimmer portrays the bully at Kamala High School.
