The Turkish dizi series Mucize Doktor / Miracle Doctor (2019) presents the life story of Ali Vefa (Taner Ölmez), a young man diagnosed with autism and abandoned by his own family, who spent his childhood in an institutionalized system. Vulnerable, but with sparkling intelligence and a desire to heal the world, the biggest dream of the brilliant Ali Vefa, who suffers from <scholar> syndrome, is to become a doctor.
Despite being the subject of prejudice from an early age, Ali Vefa manages to attend medical school, becoming the head of the promotion. An accident at the airport makes Ali late for the most important meeting of his life. The board of hospital directors where Ali wants an internship discusses his employment as an assistant. No one in the room but Adil believes that a person with autism syndrome can become a doctor. After a delay of several hours, Ali met the board directors, who looked at him with pity and distrust. Ali managed to join the surgical unit, and despite being a phenomenal doctor, communication is hard for him, and because of this, people judge him at first sight. But, Ali manages to win their hearts with his sincerity and dedication. His syndrome helps him shine in any context, finding solutions to problems in unique ways, but it also throws him into difficult situations to manage.

Taner Ölmez portrays the mucize doktor, Ali Vefa, who will discover friendship and love in the hospital where he enters as a surgeon assistant. In this hospital, Ali finds the family he’s always longed for.
Onur Tuna portrays Ferman Eryiğit, a successful surgeon in his 30, raised by Adil Hoca. He has a soft heart, but emotions are not good in surgery. Ferman is against Ali working in the hospital, but the future is unknown.

The Korean version was the first TV series created, Good Doctor (Korean: 굿 닥터) by Park Jae-bum in 2013.
