The Turkish drama series O Kiz (2022) follows the story of Zeynep (Dilin Doger), who, dreams of getting rid of her life full of difficulties. While striving for her dream, she is “mothering” her father, Kadir (Erkan Petekkaya), who has the intelligence, emotion, and purity of a 5-years child stuck in the body of a 45 years old man.
Kadir, who behaves like a child, fell victim to a cord wrapped around his neck in his mother’s womb. Zeynep’s grandfather always said that Kadir was born as an “Exam,” not only to his parents but also to his children.
They both live in her aunt’s house, and Zeynep sleeps in the same room with her cousins. Zeynep wants to get rid of this house where she feels like a refugee under the pressure of her uncle, who crushes her aunt and scares her father, the lack of money, and her aunt’s angry tiredness.

It all starts with Zeynep working as a cleaner in the house of the social media phenomenon, Ozan Mert.
