The 7.4 magnitude earthquake caused huge damage and loss of life in 10 provinces, being Turkey’s biggest earthquake registered in the last 25 years. The famous Turkish couple, Çağrı Çıtanak and his wife Başak Gümülcinelioğlu, announced that their mother is among those trapped under the rubble in Hatay.-
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared a three-month state of emergency in 10 Turkish provinces affected by a 7.4 magnitude earthquake.

The Turkish couple has issued a call for help via Twitter, asking people to reach out and help save those trapped in the destroyed building where their mother lived, at Hatay Antakya Sümerler Mahallesi Harbiye A-3 Blok address.
Çağrı Çıtanak tweeted: “Hatay/Antakya/Sumerler neighborhood harbiye cad. The destroyed building is the A/3 block of the apartment where I was born and grew up. My mom was there! This building is the tallest and naturally the most populated. Please reach out and help to save more people.”
Başak Gümülcinelioğlu said: “We have a mother in Hatay Antakya Sümerler District, Municipality Cooperative Houses, A3. We have no news. If anyone sees or hears, please let me know.”
