The new Turkish dizi series Üvey Anne (2023) features Hazal Filiz Küçükköse as Serap Kutlu, a cunning and manipulative character who tries to marry the widowed father of three children and the owner of Gencer Ceramics, Faruk, played by Kutsi. In an interview, Hazal Filiz Küçükköse describes Serap as someone who believes life has cheated her, and she is determined to seize the opportunities that life hasn’t offered her through intrigue. Üvey Anne / Stepmother – WHAT’S THE STORY? (Dizi Synopsis)
Turkish drama series Üvey Anne / Stepmother (2023) revolves around Hazal Filiz Küçükköse as Serap Kutlu, a cunning and manipulative character who tries to marry the widowed father of three children, Faruk Gencer, played by Kutsi.
Faruk Gencer had done everything to cure his ailing wife, Efsun, but unfortunately lost her during a trip to Bodrum. Devastated by the loss, Faruk returns to his mansion in Istanbul with his three children, unaware victims of Serap’s envy.
Initially, Serap reluctantly joins the family in the mansion. As Faruk Gencer’s assistant, Serap Kutlu doesn’t want to become a caregiver to his children. However, she cannot say no to Piraye Beyzade, a prominent figure in the Muğla high society.

Serap’s mother, Mürvet, has been supported by the Beyzade family, and with their help, Serap Kutlu has achieved the lifestyle she has always desired, working as Faruk Gencer’s right-hand woman at Gencer Ceramics.
Serap Kutlu’s real goal is to marry into a noble and wealthy family from that social circle. But now, Piraye Beyzade wants her grandchildren, Nisan, Naz, and Ömer, to be entrusted to an educated, reliable, and loving woman, and Serap seems to be the perfect fit for the job.
When Serap moves into Faruk’s mansion, she asks herself, “Why shouldn’t I have it all?” After all, life has played a trick on her, being born in the annex instead of the main house of the Beyzade family’s mansion. To bridge the twenty-meter distance between the two residences, Serap has worked hard to appear “good” and deserving.
