YABANI – WHAT’S THE STORY? (Synopsis)
The Turkish drama series Yabani (2023) tells the incredible story of Ali Soysalan, who was kidnapped as a boy and forced to work for his captors. Enduring years of struggle, Ali rebrands himself as Yaman and escapes with his three friends to start a new life. Despite facing hardships, they work hard to leave their past behind. Throughout it all, Yaman stays true to himself, resisting the darkness around him.
Complications arise when Yaman encounters Rüya, an enchanting girl from the town’s rich side. Her boyfriend faces a near-fatal overdose, prompting Yaman to intervene and rescue him. Yaman then brings Rüya’s boyfriend home to his mother, a respected senior physician.

However, tensions escalate when the boyfriend retaliates by assaulting Yaman’s best friend, who had exposed his drug issue to his mother. Seeking retribution, Yaman confronts the boyfriend at his residence, only to discover a shocking truth: Rüya’s boyfriend is none other than his long-lost brother, Alaz Soysalan. Ali finds his room and realizes this is the home where he was abducted from fifteen years ago.
