The Turkish romantic movie Aşk Sana Benzer (2015) follows the story of Ali (Burak Özçivit), a fisherman born and raised in a small town in Mugla. Ali is handsome, hardworking, and loved by his community, but most importantly, he has a good heart. Ali runs the family business, which consists of a small restaurant. However, Ali was never in love and never met a girl to spark his interest. But that will soon change!
His life will take a different turn when Deniz (Fahriye Evcen), a fugitive girl with a troubled past who hunts her, arrives in his town and sees it as the perfect place to start a new life. Deniz starts working at the ice cream shop, and that’s how she meets Ali. It was love at first sight for both, but Deniz tries to avoid Ali because, in her perception, all men are the same.
