Many street children never make it to the age of 20, with the bleak fate of either ending up in prison or dying young. However, these 5 street children called Köksüzler, and later Ateş Kuşları managed to break away from this cycle and survive: Ali, Mercan, Zıpkın, Sabit, and Gulayse.
Gülayşe Ateş (İlayda Alisan) is the lost baby of the Eyüboğlu mansion and the youngest member of the Ateş Kuşları / Firebirds, who was thrown on the street by a woman and raised by Köksüzler (The rootless).
Mercan Ateş (Hande Soral) is the little mother of Ateş Kuşları / Firebirds, who is in love with Ali. Her biggest fear is that the family she has devoted her life to will break one day when Çatal finds them and take away Gülayşe.

“I was very emotionally impressed in the first and second promotion, and understood clearly that this project has a problem and wants to touch something. We can say that it is a really nice, sweet family drama. We will see the feeling of family very clearly in this series. I am playing the character of Barbaros in this series. My character is a little more branchy, forming a bridge between two worlds. He has a problematic past and a purpose, which tries to pursue it. He is a man who has taken an oath. He is chasing his dreams.”
