DIZI NEWS – Disney Plus came together with famous names from Turkey. Famous actors like Engin Akyürek, Aras Bulut Iynemli, Aslı Enver, Burak Deniz, Can Yaman, Cansu Dere, Eda Ece. Halit Ergenç, Hande Erçel and Pınar Deniz joined the Disney Plus streaming platform’s strategy to create brand new stories for the grand opening. In addition to taking part in the projects, they will also accompany Disney Plus as brand ambassadors in Turkey.

Disney Plus, the digital broadcasting platform of The Walt Disney Company, is working on an aggressive strategy to enter the Turkish market in less than a month. Their preparations started a year ago. Now are at full speed since Disney Plus comes in Turkey on 14th June 2022.

Which are the first projects of Disney Plus in Turkey?
The Turkish actors, Engin Akyürek and his co-star İrem Helvacıoğlu were the first names to sign a contract with the Disney Plus streaming platform.
The filming of Disney Turkish dizi series Kaçış took place in the past winter, on a big plateau set up in Gaziantep. On the first day of Disney Plus’ premiere in Turkey, Engin Akyürek will meet the audience in the dizi series Kaçış (Escape), for which he also wrote the story.

The dizi series Dünyayla Benim Aramda (Between the World and Me), starring Demet Özdemir and Buğra Gülsoy, is the second project of Disney Plus in Turkey.
Demet Özdemir and Buğra Gülsoy took the leading roles in the series Dünyayla Benim Aramda. After signing the contract, Demet Özdemir confessed: “It was very sweet. We are already working on it. I can’t give much information. But if there is one thing, I know, they are coming, friends.”

Çukur’s leading actor Aras Bulut Iynemli also joined the Disney Plus platform where he received the main role in the Kemal Mustafa Atatürk dizi series. The Atatürk dizi series will premiere on June 2023.
