Today, on Women’s Day as a symbol of her strength, Kaya chose to introduce her newborn daughter to fans by publishing on Instagram the first photograph of Leyla Süreyya hugged by her mother on the hospital bed, captioned:
“When I was little, my mothers used to make purple ribbon lapel pins for walks, and I would help. I grew up witnessing what we achieved with those actions. Now, because of my lapel pin, Süreyya, I cannot attend the walk tonight. My heart, my mind, and my hope are with you. Happy women’s day! Rebellion out of spite, freedom out of spite!”
