Kaya terminated the rental agreement after her landlord did not agree to renovate the house. For the demand to refund the prepaid rent, enforcement proceedings were initiated, and Hazal Kaya’s lawyer started a lawsuit against her former landlord.

She won the lawsuit
According to the journalist Birsen Altuntas, Hazal Kaya’s lawyer Nail Gönenli led an investigation with experts who reported that the property was damp due to insulation deficiencies.The lawyer asked for a refund of the 7-month rental fee because the rental agreement was terminated just cause due to the presence of mold odors associated with the expert reports. At the end of the trial, the court decided that the landlord will refund the 7-month rental fee to Hazal Kaya. The landlord appealed the decision.
