The Kdrama One Dollar Lawyer depicts the story of an eccentric but skilled lawyer, Cheon Jihun, who is always dressed to the nines in tailored three-piece suits and stylish perm. Cheon Jihun only charges only 1,000 won (about $1) for his legal services to fight for poor people who are up against the most expensive lawyers and their wealthy-privileged clients who wanna get away with breaking the law. Jihun’s shameless ways clash with Baek Mari, who works as a prosecutor’s assistant and disagrees with his unorthodox methodology. Baek Mari is sharp and confident. Her grandfather founded the biggest law enterprise in Korea, Baek Law Firm, where she works as a lawyer. Baek Mari receives the shock of her life when she finds out she has to work with Jihun in his small office for two months.
