Su ve Ateş / Water and Fire – WHAT’S THE STORY? (Synopsis)

The Turkish movie Su ve Ateş / Water and Fire (2013) follows a tragic and impossible love story from the East between Yağmur and a mysterious man she met by chance on a plane to London, Kemal (Hashmet).

On one side, Yağmur (Yasemin Allen) is a young, beautiful, and naive girl who went to London for language education and continued to live there after her education ended. Yağmur falls in love with Kemal, even though she knows little about him, and from the day they meet, she sees his mysterious side.

On the other side, Kemal (Özcan Deniz), who is very different from the men she met before, has big secrets and a dangerous past that hides from Yağmur. Kemal, whose real name is Haşmet and belongs to a tribal family of the East.

Haşmet is a man who runs away from his guilty feeling and eases his consciousness about the crimes he committed. He found refuge in London, escaping the strict and unwritten laws of the East. Right when he thought nothing could save him, he met Yağmur. However, Haşmet can not escape his past. A dark past that comes with the heavy duty of being the head of the mafia in Istanbul.
