Yalı Çapkını – WHAT’S THE STORY? (Synopsis)
STAR TV Turkish drama series Yalı Çapkını (2022) follows the unforgettable story of the Korhan Family from Gaziantep. The dizi series Yalı Çapkını (2022) is about the events that will develop after Halis Ağa (Çetin Tekindor), the pillar of the Korhan Family, decides to marry his irresponsible grandson, Ferit, to a young and well-educated girl from Gaziantep. Although Ferit doesn’t want to get married, he can’t over his grandfather’s wish either. Finding the ideal bride is the task of Halis Ağa’s eldest bride, İfakat (Gülçin Şantırcıoğlu).
The biggest surprise comes at the request ceremony of Suna (Beril Pozam), a daughter of an important tribe of Antep and suitable to be the bride of the Korhan Family in Gaziantep, which will affect both Suna and her sister Seyran (Afra Saraçoğlu). Before the request ceremony, Ferit and Seyran met by mistake for few times. Seyran doesn’t stand Ferit. On the other hand, the boy likes her fierceness. At the request ceremony, Suna is very emotional, and her hands are shaking terribly. This mood will change her fate forever. Seyran helps her sister to bring the coffee. Afra Saraçoglu portrays Seyran Şanlı, Kazim and Esme’s little daughter. She is one of the young, beautiful, and well-educated girls of Antep, who is marriage material. Compassionate, stubborn, and perseverent, Seyran never stops fighting to take control of her life. She will be chosen as a bride instead of her sister.
Mert Ramazan Demir portrays Ferit Korhan, the irresponsible grandson of Halis Ağa, the younger son of Orhan and Gülgün. Ferit is diabetic, and because of his illness and being the youngest grandson in the house, Ferit was pampered from childhood. He gets what he wants. Ferit is frivolous, crazy, funny, and flirtatious. Ferit has never been in love.
Çetin Tekindor portrays Halis Ağa, the head of the Korhan family and Ferit’s grandfather. Halis Ağa is authoritarian and reveals his inner conflicts with the diaries he keeps.
Şerif Sezer plays Hattuç Şanlı, Kazim’s aunt. Suna and Seyran are her nieces. Her father didn’t marry her to anyone.
