The Turkish romantic comedy movie Ikinci Şans / Second Chance (2016) follows the story of two divorced parents, Yasemin (Nurgül Yesilçay) and Cemal (Özcan Deniz), whose kids use to socialize on the Internet.
Yasemin (Nurgül Yesilçay) is a beautiful and conservative math teacher who raised her teenage daughter, Cicek (Afra Saraçoglu), alone, protecting her from the world’s wickedness and especially from the cunning of naughty young men. Yasemin loses self-confidence after being abandoned by her bigoted husband and doesn’t want to get involved with playboy men characters. She built high walls around her heart. Yasemin is a very protective mother. Cemal (Özcan Deniz) is a 44 years charismatic gourmand and the owner of the restaurant “Cemal Et.” An extroverted and carefree spirit, Cemal wakes up after 19 years with a son, Mahmut (Mesut can Tomay), who he never knew existed. His daily routine, divided between business development and validating his status as a conqueror, is disrupted by the unexpected appearance of the young intruders who carries his genes but looks contrary to them.
